Select your type of PPI Claim:

PPI is sold on many mortgages, secured loans, unsecured loans, car finance and credit cards - so the odds are that you have at least one PPI policy that has been mis-sold to you.

The selling of PPI by the major banks is an enormous scandal that would have affected you and your family. Alliance and Leicester has been fined £7m, 1st Plus and Picture Loans have already closed down and the government has introduced new rules on the selling of PPI.

Over the last 10 years millions of these PPI policies have been sold. The banks have made a profit of billions and millions adults have been ripped off by more than £1,000.

The chances are you have at least one claim, you may have many. If you have had PPI added to a loan you probably have an excellent chance of recovering all of your money back within a few short months.

Click the questions below to reveal the answers & information.

Q. I don’t remember being sold Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) surely I cant claim can I?

A. The vast majority of Blue Sky Claims Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) mis-selling clients had no idea that they had been sold Payment Protection Insurance (PPI). The banks, lenders and finance companies have been hiding the facts regarding the sale of Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) and its not surprising that you have forgotten that you have been sold PPI.

At Blue Sky we will check every loan, car finance, HP, PCP and credit card to find out how many policies you were actually sold. When we find the PPI will assess whether the PPI was mis-sold and if it has we will reclaim the money back as soon as possible along with interest.

Q. How many Banks Mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) ?

A. So far we have found that all banks have been selling Payment Protection Insurance (PPI). There maybe some obscure banks that we have not heard of who have sold a few hundred loans however all the banks on the high street and the ones you see on television have been mis-selling Payment Protection Insurance(PPI) for many many years.

Q. Why would the banks mis-sell Payment Protection Insurance (PPI)?

A. The answer to why banks have been mis-selling for years is simple, greed.

Q. Are your regulated?

A. Yes we are regulated by the Regulated by the Ministry of Justice in respect of regulated claims management activities (CRM23423); its registration is recorded on the website www.claimsregulation.gov.uk.

Q. Are you a member of any trade bodies?

A. We are members of the Claims Standards Council and the Financial Claims Standards Council.

Q. How long have the banks been mis-selling Payment Protection Insurance (PPI)?

A. We at Blue Sky think that the banks have been mis-selling Payment Protection Insurance for at least the last 20 years. We have cases of mis-selling going back to the mid 1980's, however mis-selling of Payment Protection Insurance has been going on for a whole generation.

Q. Why has the FSA not acted before on the issue of banks and finance companies mis-selling payment Protection Insurance?

A. We at Blue Sky are amazed that the FSA did not acted sooner however a few banks such as Alliance and Leicester have been fined upwards of £7million. The British Bankers Association tried to resist the FSA rules on PPI. In October 2010 sought a judicial review. In january 2011 the case was heard and in April 2011 the FSA won! The Banks where told they had to pay up.

A. This is a complicated question and is not simple to answer. Firstly if your loan has been redeemed then you would normally have 6 years to claim back mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance (PPI). This being said we have won may cases where the loan was redeemed up to 20 years ago. If the PPI was mis-sold on a credit card the same rule applies here however if the loan or credit card is still live we can run the claim for mis-selling PPI back to when the loan or card had PPI added to it.

Q. I have a 25 year loan with Barclays with Payment Protection Insurance(PPI)added on top. Does this give me 25 years of cover?

A. I am afraid not. This is a popular misconception as PPI added to a loan only really covers you for the first 5 years of the loan. Sorry to say that for the rest of the 20 years you will be paying for the mis-sold PPI and interest that your lender has added. if it is a joint loan, cover is also not usually given to the second borrower.

A. We are afraid that if the PPI was added to your loan then yes the lender will charge you interest on top. The good news is that Blue Sky will be able to reclaim the interest back from the bank that mis-sold the Payment Protection Insurance (PPI).
